Previous PvE Experience: Started playing WoW towards the end of Legion and started raiding Mythic in Dazar’alor. Since then my raiding history looks like:
    – BoD as Resto shaman, 9/9
    – EP as Resto shaman, 7/8
    – Nya as Guardian druid, 12/12
    – CN as MM Hunter, 10/10
    – SoD as Guardian druid, 10/10
    – SotFO as Resto Druid, 11/11
    – VotI as Boomy/Resto Druid, 8/8
    – Aberrus, did not prog raid due to irl
    – Amirdrassil as Brewmaster Monk, 8/9

    History of Previous Guilds:
In BoD through to Nyalotha I was a member of Exiles-Emerald dream. They were a great introductory guild with a wide range of skill abilities, ranging from a couple of the best healers that I’ve ever had the chance to play with to this day to some DPS that mostly scraped by. The disparity really encouraged me to look into the game more deeply to improve my own gameplay (as well as others should they ask for help), since I’m the sort of person who never wants to be a weak link in a group and also where I started playing other roles (before this I’d only ever played DPS specs), starting out as a resto shaman and transitioning to Guardian for Nyalotha. I made several friends that I still talk to to this day and left on good terms.
After Exiles I joined Social Distancing-Shadowsong with a few friends from Exiles who felt similarly about the issues that had reared their heads (see below). Initially I joined as a dps for CN before being offered and transitioning back to a tanking role for Nathria farm/Sanctum.
After Social Distancing stopped raiding I moved to Return of the Watchers-Kilrogg through contacts I had in the Dreamgrove discord for a chance to raid with some friends I’d got to know in there. Initially raiding as a healer through Sepulchre, I transitioned to Boomy at the start of CN but due to a member of the healer team stepping away from the game I was asked to transition back to Resto for most of the tier. I took a break from WoW during Aberrus and came back towards the end of the tier on a more casual basis before being asked if I would tank for Amirdrassil, which brings us to now.

    Why did you leave them?:
Exiles – Roster issues started becoming apparent during Queen Azshara prog since officers were pretty often having to ask social ranks to step in and make our raid up to 20. During Nyalotha prog I started to get frustrated with the lack of effort some people were putting in to their characters (either knowledge of rotation/encounter or gear acquisition) so after we got CE I looked elsewhere.
Social Distancing – Guild started having unfortunate roster issues during Sanctum due to irl commitments such as members moving house, births, etc all happening in a close time frame. After we killed Sylvanas, officers announced their plans to move the guild to another server as several of those members with irl commitments had said they were going to step away from the game so this was their solution to aid recruitment. I opted not to follow and instead joined my next (and current) guild.
Return of the Watchers – Unfortunately people are just burnt out with the game but are trying to force themselves to play half heartedly anyway. Since the current officer plan is to effectively “break” for fated I figure this would be a perfect time for me to trial elsewhere.

How did you find out about Violent Circus?: Researching guilds through the usual sites – warcraftlogs and wowprogress mainly

Why do you think this guild is fit for you and what are your expectations from us?:
Your description more or less hits everything I’d want from a guild. 2 day is absolutely my preferred balance of mandatory playtime against real life commitments. However, I also want an environment with like minded people who want to raid and are there to get the job done as efficiently as possible whilst enjoying our time together and sharing in each others success.

What can you bring to the team?:
    – Highly driven player that is constantly self-analysing each aspect of his play.
    – A diverse player who is capable of playing any tank spec to a competitive level should the need arise, though my personal preference does lie between guardian, brew and vdh.
    – An understanding and patient player who will help work towards solutions to problems rather than voicing their frustration.
    – I firmly believe that communication is key in all aspects of life and that applies to WoW too, if there’s something that you feel I need to clarify using/doing or something that I could change for the benefit of the group then I’m always happy to listen, discuss and (most importantly) act on the advice appropriately.
    – I have excellent knowledge of the majority of classes and roles within WoW. I am an active Regular role in the Dreamgrove discord (primarily in the guardian and resto channels) and have frequent interactions with a large number of known theorycrafters/high end players with regards to general tank TCing and a particular focus on Guardian for which I contribute to the development of the sims APL.
    – A player who is willing and able to communicate both during and outside of raids.
    – Excellent log reading capabilities (rotational analysis, identifying causes of mysterious wipes, etc)
    – A player who will actively participate in strategy discussions and won’t shy away from voicing an opinion if he feels there’s a better way to address a problem.

Availability(How often are you available, etc.):
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings are all completely workable for me. Currently I Tutor a student on Wednesday evenings but that is temporary (and avoidable in the future since I can just do it on another day)

Anything else you would like to add?:
Not much else to add, if you have any additional questions then please just ask but mostly just a thank you for the reading this absolute essay and apologies for going on a bit. Hopefully, you’ll be able to learn more about me over time but if not then best of luck in the future.
